Ritch
Gaiti, an emerging self-taught artist, has been painting
for over fifteen years.
Born and raised in Brooklyn New York,

Ritch became visually attracted to the
Native American
subject
by the warm colors and the spiritual nature of the people and
the land.
Inspired by the works of the legendary photographer
Edward S. Curtis and his
colleagues who chronicled Indian life in
the 19th and 20th
centuries, Ritch became sympathetic to the
Native American culture, their
history and their fallen journey.
He paints of the people, the land and the
spirits and tries to
recapture a feeling of a civilization long gone.
Each painting
represents change--an evolution,
something coming, emerging, growing, evolving...
or something disappearing, vanishing...
the growth of a
civilization
or the freedom of a horse running on the plains
or the buffalo on their way to extinction.
This series is dedicated to a
simpler life...and of a time lost.
An ex-executive from Merrill Lynch, Ritch now dedicates
his time to
his right brain and creative ventures. Ritch is an active
writer.
For fun, Ritch enjoys tennis, skiing, flying and movies.
